Michael Gregory is an extraordinarily successful viral video artists whose work with the Gregory Brothers and Auto-Tune the News has been seen by millions on YouTube, written about in Time Magazine and winner of three 2010 streamy awards.
A recent student at Appalachian State, Michael Gregory will be presenting a retrospective of his work, beginning with his early videos including Jimmy Smith Park filmed here in Boone while a student, as well as his more recent and more widely viewed Auto-Tune the News videos featuring current events and media pundits set to music. He will also be answering questions about the vagaries of the business of viral videos.
This presentation is sponsored by the Interdisciplinary Studies Program and Internet Studies at Appalachian State. The event is free and open to the public.
